Youngster through to third round at Australian Open

Yshai Oliel cruises into the last 16 of junior boy's tournament in Melbourne.

Yshai Oliel was knocked out of the first round of the boys' singles competition

Yshai Oliel took less than an hour to book his place in the third round as sealed a comprehensive win over Australian Matthew Dellavedova.

The 17-year-old, who’s the fourth seed in the tournament, took a mere 52 minutes to record a 6-2, 6-1 win over the Australian, and will now face American Alexandre Rotsaert for a place in the quarter-finals on Wednesday, with him due second on Court 19.

He wasn’t though as successful in the doubles, as teaming up with Belgian Zizou Bergs, they were beaten 6-3, 7-6 by India’s Siddhant Banthai and Turkey’s Kaya Gore.
