Hundreds of supporters around the world will blow shofars and whistles at noon Sunday March 10th, to raise awareness of the hostages in Gaza.

The new initiative, ‘Blow for Hostages’, is the brainchild of brand expert Marcel Knobil, responsible for the recent Lovelock Hostage Bridge at JW3.

Both concepts are aimed at displaying solidarity towards the hostages and re-awakening the world to the desperate plight of those still held by Hamas in horrendous conditions.

Supporters across multiple faiths will blow shofars and whistles for 1.55 minutes to mark the 155 days of captivity. In London, whilst many will be blowing their shofars and whistles wherever they happen to be, others are invited to attend an event at an NW8 venue  from 11.30 till 12.15.

Vanessa Feltz is amongst the celebrities delivering speeches on the day, whilst at noon, a host of leading communal figures and high-profile personalities from various faiths will blow shofars and whistles on stage accompanied by all attendees who are encouraged to bring whistles and shofars.

Marcel Knobil, creator of the initiative said: “It is critical that we remind the world of the horrific 7/10 massacre and that around 240 innocent civilians were dragged into captivity in Gaza, with over 100 of them still suffering in dire conditions.

“A powerful way to do this is through innovative and unconventional initiatives that capture the imagination of the media.”
