Star-studded Gefiltefest returns to JW3

Gefiltefest, Europe’s Biggest Jewish Food Festival returned to JW3 at the weekend.

A star-studded line-up included guest sous chef Emma Spitzer from MasterChef 2015 and Israel’s MasterChef Winner of 2014, Dr Nof Atamna Ismaeel.

The festival consisted of more than 40 interactive sessions;  demonstrations, workshops, debates, plus Europe’s biggest kosher pop up food market.

Sessions included lessons in the latest food trends, such as baking babka, rainbow doughs, making halva, going sugar-free Jewish style, and introducing Breaditation.

VIP’s on the day included The Israeli Ambassador Mark Regev, Labour London Assembly member Andrew Dismore and and local MP for Hampstead and Kilburn, Tulip Siddiq MP.

Nicki Tiefenbrun, Festival Director said: “After such a tumultuous week, we were delighted that so many people came to JW3 to enjoy Jewish culture, diversity and heritage through what unites us – the joy of food.”
