Landing in Israel after making aliyah

Those interested in moving to Israel will get the chance to ask experts questions ranging from banking and education to job opportunities and real estate at the Major Aliyah Event at the end of the month.

The event, which is sponsored by the Jewish Agency for Israel, will take place in north London on Sunday 27 January and will feature legal experts, accountants, insurance advisers, bankers and head-hunters to answer questions.

Speakers will discuss topics such as Israeli health care, language and culture, and the logistics of moving, such as shipping, as organisers said both religious and secular families, couples and singles were catered for.

Managing the complexities of aliyah can be tricky, with British-born Olim (Jews who make aliyah) and returning citizens entitled to different rights, but organisers said those with first-hand experience would be on-hand to offer counsel.

A spokesman for the Major Aliyah Event said: “It is an opportunity to learn about what options are available, with everything you need to understand when planning for a successful aliyah, all under one roof.”
