An American-Israeli civilian was killed in a terrorist attack in the West Bank on Monday, marking the second deadly attack in just two days.

The victim was identified as Elan Ganeles, 26, who was killed by Palestinians in a drive-by shooting on Route 90 highway, near Jericho.

Ganeles was rushed to Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus in Jerusalem but was declared dead not long after.

According to the IDF, the Palestinian terrorists continued to shoot at two other cars on the highway before setting their own car on fire and fleeing on foot to Jericho. The IDF is still searching for the suspects.

Ganeles grew up in Connecticut but later immigrated to Israel where he joined the army as a “lone soldier.” In 2018 he returned to the U.S. to study at Columbia University.

This is the second deadly Palestinian terror attacks in two days. On Sunday, a Palestinian man opened fire at a car in the West Bank city of Huwara, killing two Israeli brothers, Hallel Yaniv, 21 and Yagel Yaniv, 19.
