Balady opens at JW3

London's most famous falafel gets a new home on the Finchley Road

Good things come to those who wait and we’ve waited a long time for a decent food offering at JW3. But now the news is out – Baladyt (sic) at JW3 is the newest location for the Balady restaurants. It is serving up JW3 visitors a delicious selection of milky Middle Eastern dishes, from falafel to sabich and all manner of hummus and toppings, plus sweet snacks and drinks.

Balady has garnered a huge following for its famous falafel at its branches in Temple Fortune, Camden, Leather Lane and Barnet. Giles Coren, writing in The Times, once said of them: “These ones are unquestionably the best ever: hot and crispy on the golden brown outside, then soft and moist in the emerald green interior, fresh, aromatic.”

Baladyt (a new name for the new location) is the fifth branch and is currently running a reduced menu for the soft opening for the rest of January, with the full range starting in February.
