Brit joins President Rivlin’s team

A British-born political consultant has been appointed as international media advisor to the new president of Israel.

Jason Pearlman, who worked at the Israeli Embassy in London and as head of media at the Board of Deputies before making aliyah in 2006, is the latest addition to Reuven Rivlin’s team.

In a Facebook post announcing the appointment, Pearlman said it was a “massive honour and privilege to work for the head of state”.

Since moving to Israel, the father-of-two worked at the Israel Government press office while he has helped on strategy for leading political figures, corporations and non-Governmental organisations.

As UK director of Face of Israel, which works to promote Israel by engaging high-profile figures, recently took a group of American beauty pageant winners on a tour around the Jewish state.

He follows in the fotsteps of Yair Zivan, who led media for the Union of Jewish Students while in UK, who was international media role under the presidency of Shimon Peres.
