Substantial compensation package

The LBS is looking for a Chief Executive to replace the incumbent who is making Aliyah. Reporting to the four Trustees, the Chief Executive is responsible for the Board delivering shechita services efficiently and effectively, enabling a supply of high quality, affordable and halachically rigorous kosher meat and poultry to be provided by our licensees.

The wide-ranging responsibilities of the Chief Executive include team leadership (currently 30 people), overseeing commercial contracts, liaising with Rabbinical authorities, and robust budget management. Communication within the industry and beyond is increasingly important.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Orthodox Jewish customs and practices, be capable of working independently, have experience of managing teams and delivering results under pressure, with excellent inter-personal skills, while displaying precision and attention to detail, and maintaining the highest professional standard and integrity at all times.
