Draw made for U19 Euro Championships in Israel

Israel’s U19 women’s team have been handed a favourable draw at this summer’s European Championships.

Hosts Israel, who will make their debut in the competition, were drawn in Group A alongside former winners Sweden and France, with Denmark making up the group, but more importantly avoided facing four-time winners Germany, last year’s runners-up Spain, England and Norway. The open draw (no seeded teams) took place on Wednesday night during half-time of the Israeli Cup final, – which saw Maccabi Tel Aviv beat Hapoel Beer Sheva 6-2 – at Haifa’s Itztadion Sammy Ofer.

DRAW:

Group A: Israel, Sweden, France, Denmark
Group B: England, Germany, Spain, Norway

The tournament is being held between 15-27 July. Netanya’s Stadium will host the final, with the other three venues being at Ramla Municipal Stadium, Rishon LeZion Haberfeld and Lod Municipal Stadium.
