Emily in Paris has a love interest in London (sort of)

TV star Lucien Laviscount and former boy band member Zac Lichman open a restaurant in north London

Emily and Alfie

What do Emily in Paris’ gorgeous new boyfriend Alfie (Lucien Laviscount, 30) and former boy band (Northern Line) member Ziggy (Zac Lichman) have in common? Not only were they both in Big Brother (although not together), they have teamed up to open restaurants in London. Ziggy (42), who grew up in Totteridge and went to Habs, spoke out about his Judaism on Big Brother, saying that his family were not religious and he wouldn’t be expected to marry a Jewish girl.

The duo’s newest venture is a north London speakeasy-style ‘five-star dive bar’ in Kensal Rise called The Wealthy Beggar, serving up tropical cocktails and Pan-Asian tapas. There’s live music every Wednesday, DJ sets and weekend parties. Pre-pandemic the pair opened The Shop, also in Kensal Rise – a kooky cocktail bar that served drinks in jam jars and milk bottles, but it closed in 2020. Maybe Emily played by Lily Collins, whose mother is Jewish and whose father is of course Phil Collins) will cross the channel for a cocktail soon.
