Volunteers and communal organisations are running a Chanukah ball for young professionals to show solidarity with Israel.

The Israel Ball, taking place on the first night of the festival of lights, 7th December, is supported by a committee of volunteers together with UJIA, StandWithUs, the JLC and the CST.

Taking place at an as-yet undisclosed five star central London venue, the Ball will feature music and entertainment by Avi Kraus, Muzika and DJ Jonny Bluestone, gourmet kosher food and drinks.

Tickets, thanks to generous sponsorship are £50 per person.

Chair of the organising event, Vladimir Bermant, founder of Hineni Capital told Jewish News: “The Israel Ball is set to become the highlight of the Jewish young professionals calendar. This positive, life-affirming event is the perfect opportunity to show our unwavering solidarity with Israel and our love for each other. Communal response has been astonishing.

“I am grateful to the 30-strong committee of hard-working, selfless people, and to the organisations that partnered with us, including the UJIA, StandWithUs, the JLC and the CST, and to Rabbi Mendel Kalmenson. We are all deeply committed to the flourishing of British Jewry and to Israel!”

He added: “The community very much needs an elegant, Zionist mass event for young people. That is why we made The Israel Ball so affordable and raised a lot of sponsorship to ensure everyone can afford to come.

Proceeds will go to trauma therapy for survivors of the Supernova Music Festival massacre through a special UJIA programme.
