Game of Thrones star Laura Pradelska Will will recount her grandmother’s heroic story of survival in the Holocaust during the community’s flagship Yom HaShoah event next month.

The actress, who plays Quaithe in the hit HBO series, will address thousands at the Allianz stadium on 23 April as part of  this year’s theme of Women’s Resistance.

The event is backed by a staggering 130 community organisations.

Yom HaShoah UK Chair Neil Martin said: “The support of individuals like Laura and so many organisations who are going all out to ensure more and more people remember each year on Yom HaShoah never ceases to amaze us, nor do the personal stories we are so privileged to hear from survivors, refugees and their children, grandchildren and great grand children.”

The event will also include a display of the 10 finalists in the competition to design the new national Holocaust memorial and Keating centre that will be built in Westminster. The public consultation period will end next month.
