Harry Styles gives Jewish bride a wedding to remember
One Jewish bride had a simcha to remember after her idol Harry Styles sent her a special video message on her big day, begging her not to go through with it.
Huge One Direction fan Tash Gershfield, 25 from Pinner, got the surprise of her life when her brand new groom James Gershfield told her he wanted to “put her through a little test” before making his speech.
Harry Styles appeared on a giant screen in front of the 250 guests at Portman Square’s Radisson Blue hotel on Sunday, telling Tash with a cheeky grin that “You don’t have go through with this. It’s not too late.”
“I’ll be waiting for you at Orli’s in Borehamwood for the next three hours,” said the international heartthrob in the video, struggling to keep the smile off his face. “If you don’t come I’ll understand… but that’s where I’ll be.”
“Everyone single guest was shouting ‘Go go go!” the couple’s friend told Jewish News.
“Then the microphone was handed to Tash and the first thing she said was simply, ‘Can you play that again?’ The whole room was in disbelief!’
‘Eventually Tash had to answer and she said she would stay! Everyone cheered. She was in total shock – it was so amazing to see her face.’
The video was organized by James Gershfield as a complete surprise for his new bride, who resisted a desire shared by millions of girls by staying with her new husband.
Orli’s, a kosher bakery and deli in Borehamwood, has been stunned by the response, reporting that dozens of One Direction fans have come in asking for Styles.
“Tash is a massive One Direction fan and always has been,” said wedding guest Alex Greene. “When the dates for the Where We Are Tour came out and they happened to fall on her wedding day, she was devastated.’
We have a feeling this might have made up for it!
