Hassan Nasrallah killed in massive airstrike on Hezbollah’s main headquarters

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has been killed, along with other senior commanders of the group, in a colossal Israeli airstrike on their underground headquarters in Beirut, the terror group has confirmed.

The strike marks a critical escalation in the ongoing conflict, with the world now waiting to see how Hezbollah’s backers Iran will respond.

The announcement followed a series of intensified Israeli airstrikes targeting Hezbollah assets in Beirut and across Lebanon, including the strike on the group’s headquarters, which left parts of the city covered in smoke and dust.

In recent weeks, Israel has successfully targeted much of Hezbollah’s senior leadership.

According to an IDF statement, the strike that killed Nasrallah also eliminated the commander of Hezbollah’s Southern Front, Ali Karaki — who had recently survived an assassination attempt — along with other top Hezbollah commanders.”

Hezbollah’s al-Manar television reported that four buildings were destroyed and there were many casualties in the multiple strikes. Footage broadcast by al-Manar TV shows at least one smouldering crater at the site of the attack.

IDF spokesman Rear Adm Daniel Hagari announced that the Israeli Air Force hit the facility which is located beneath civilian buildings in the Dahiyeh suburb, a well-known Hezbollah stronghold.

Hagari noted that there are no changes to the current safety guidelines for Israeli civilians.

In recent weeks, Israel has eliminated several senior leaders of the Hezbollah terror organisation.
