Thirty-six headteachers from Jewish schools up and down the country came together for PaJeS’ annual seminar at Hunton Park in Hertfordshire this week.
Attendees gathered for the two-day conference on Monday and Tuesday to discuss challenges facing schools and listen to speeches from industry professionals.
Jonathan Boyd, executive director of Jewish Policy Research, discussed the future of British Jewish life, while headteachers Rachel Fink, of JFS, and Yvonne Baron, of Etz Chaim, both spoke of the impact of personal stories on leadership.
North West London Jewish Day School headteacher Judith Caplan said the conference had “allowed us to think about ourselves and the impact we have in our schools.”
PaJeS executive director Rabbi David Meyer said: “This was the largest residential headteacher conference so far and reflects the importance of supporting our heads and giving them the opportunity to share and develop strategies for their schools.
“We were very fortunate to have such expert presenters who facilitated fascinating conversations relevant to all the participants. Thank you to the UJIA Ashdown for helping to make this a reality.”
