In Pictures: Camp Simcha UK Toy Drive

More than 4,000 new toys and gifts were distributed to sick children in hospitals and hospices as part of this year’s Camp Simcha UK Toy Drive.

Volunteers of all ages descended on the Camp Simcha UK head office in Hendon to pack some 250 bags of gifts to be delivered to children in 106 wards, hospices and community nursing teams including Great Ormond Street, UCLH and Barnet General. The toys were donated collected over the last few weeks by around 60 Jewish schools and community groups around London.

Camp Simcha UK chief executive Neville Goldschneider said: “We have been overwhelmed by people’s generosity. By the time we finished packing up the toys, the bags were quite literally piled to the ceiling. It was wonderful.”
