In pictures: JLGB interfaith social action awards

An audience of more than 250 celebrated the achievements of 70 young people of different faiths, united after a JLGB-led Interfaith National Citizens programme. The youths spent three weeks together over the summer, starting with a week of adventure team building and social cohesion seminars exploring each other’s faiths and identities. In the second week, they learned skills from leading industry experts such as journalism and film-making. In the final week, each team used their new talents to make a positive contribution through creating and delivering their own social action projects. Each graduate received a certificate signed by Prime Minister David Cameron, who wants all 16 and 17-year-olds to take part in this ‘rite of passage’.
