IN PICTURES: Seed’s interactive Shavuot learning programme

Schoolchildren from 26 Jewish primaries have taken part in an interactive learning programme in the run-up to Shavuot.

Parents and grandparents spent time together with the kids at Generation Sinai, the country’s biggest Jewish education event, as they studied the story of the Torah being given to the Jews at Mount Sinai, and finding its relevance for today’s generation.

Organised by education charity Seed, over 6,000 UK family members came together in London, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Hertfordshire and Essex, as events took place in 14 countries worldwide.

Rabbi Malcolm Herman, a director of Seed, said: “It’s bonding experience so they’re inspired to do more as a family because the real place where Jewish life happens is in the home.”
