Interfaith choir to ‘sing walk and talk’ through London’s places of worship

A choir composed of people from all different faiths will ‘sing walk and talk’ through London on a musical tour of places of worship.

The ‘Mixed Up Chorus’ will lead a musical tour across north London this Sunday, beginning at St Mary’s Church Primrose Hill at 11.30, before heading to the Liberal Jewish Synagogue an hour later, and finishing at London Central Mosque by 2.30.

Eli Tamir, who coordinates the choir, said: “The Mixed Up Chorus believes that if we sing next to each other we’ll live well next to each other. Our ‘Sing Walk Talk’ event is a great opportunity to show that we’re better united than divided, and to celebrate London’s amazing diversity.”

“The walk is also raising funds for the choir, enabling the Mixed Up Chorus to reach further in its mission to bring people together through music.”

In addition to performing songs from around the world, they will feature an interfaith singing workshop led by musical director Jeremy Haneman, and have invited participants to join at any point in the tour.
