Leader of Islamic Jihad praises Iran’s support in Protective Edge

The leader of Palestinian Terrorist group Islamic Jihad, has praised Iran’s role during in Israel’s recent operation n Gaza, upon a visit to Tehran. 

Its political leader, Ramadan Abdullah Shallah met, Shallah met with the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and praised Iran for their support during the Israeli operation, According to the ‘semi-official Fars news agency’.

Shallah said that “definitely, the victory was achieved with the assistance of the Islamic republic [Iran].”

The terrorist leader outlined that “without Iran’s strategic and efficient help, resistance and victory in Gaza would have been impossible.”

Khamenei, also quoted by Fars, urging militants to “boost preparedness day by day and reinforce their resources” in anticipation of future conflict Times of Israel.

Islamic Jihad’s Shallah is also claimed to sceptical of the Gaza aid which was concieved in Cairo, stating that “we do not pin much hope on such promises and only rely on God to compensate losses inflicted on us by the Zionist regime.”

Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ)’s armed wing, Al-Quds Brigades, whose leaders are based in Syria, are responsible for rocket fire from the Gaza strip.

This rocket fire is considered both illegal under international law, and a double war crime, because it involves firing rockets from civilian areas into Israeli civilian areas. 

During operation in Gaza, Al-Quds, who proudly promote the military destruction of Israel, claimed responsibility for rocket fire from civilian areas.
