Israel lagging behind on web use
Israel lags behind other countries in internet connectivity, a study has shown.
The report, published last week by the OECD, shows that fewer Israelis use the internet than the OECD average.
Only 84.6% of Israelis aged 16-24 used the internet in 2013, compared to the OECD average of 95%. Internet use among adults was 4.8% lower than the average.
Israel also falls short in the areas of on online shopping, internet banking and online government services.
In other areas, Israel is more internet-savvy. Israeli has more six-year olds who have already accessed the internet than any other OECD country, except Denmark and the Netherlands.
