The IDF and Shin Bet intelligence agency announced on Monday evening that they succeeded in rescuing an Israeli solder held hostage by Hamas in Gaza.

“Overnight, the soldier PVT Ori Megidish was released during IDF ground operations. PVT Megidish was kidnapped by the Hamas terrorist organization on October 7th. The soldier was medically checked, is doing well, and has met with her family,” the statement read.

“The IDF and ISA will continue to do everything it takes in order to release the hostages,” it added.

There are still some 238 hostages inside Gaza, including British, American, German, French and Argentinian citizens.

Israeli soldiers and tanks have been inside Gaza since Friday, fighting Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists, while preparing the ground for more soldiers to enter.
