Far-right demands revenge for Israeli woman killed in terror attack near Hebron

A 40-year-old woman was killed in a terror attack in the West Bank on Monday morning. 

The IDF said a “shooting attack” was carried out on Road 60 near Hebron where two civilians, a 40-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man were hit while driving.

When MDA medics came to the scene the woman, identified as Batsheva Nagari from the West Bank settlement of Beit Hagi, was unconscious and not breathing. She was later declared dead.

The man was taken to hospital in serious condition and semi-conscious with gunshot limb injuries, while Nagari’s six-year-old daughter was unharmed. A total of 25 bullets were fired at the vehicle.

The IDF said soldiers were pursuing the suspects and blockades set up in the area to catch the assailants. Both Hamas and Islamic Jihad praised the “heroic” attack.

As with every terror attack, far-right ministers and lawmakers demanded action and change of government policy vis a vis the Palestinians.

“Another bloody attack made possible just because of the lack of a decision. Roads in Judea and Samaria should not be a green light to terror. Defense minister, the decision is in your hands. Make it before the next attack,” Minister of National Missions Orit Strock said.

Lawmaker Yitzhak Kroizer from the far-right Jewish Power party demanded “revenge,” saying “Jewish blood is will not be wasted!”

Likud lawmaker Tali Gotliv, who in recent weeks has accused the IDF of lying and protecting Palestinians instead of settlers, said: “Only a hard hand against terror!! Unfortunately, this is the only language that terrorists and their accomplices understand.”

The attack comes just two days after an Israeli father and his son were killed in a terror attack in the Palestinian town of Huwara.
