James’ record javelin throw

Javelin thrower James Bongart threw a season’s best at the British University & College Sport championships at the weekend.

Recording a distance of 54.31m – which was his second best ever throw – he finished in eighth, from a field of 20 participants.

The Nottingham Trent University student is next in action next week, when he competes in the first fixture of the Men’s British League Premiership in Eton.
