A New York couple have named their baby after the Druze policeman killed in last month’s Synagogue attack in Jerusalem.

Alexander and Jennifer Chester named their son Yaakov Zidan, in honour of Zidan Saif.

The traffic cop was among first responders to the attack, and died from wounds sustained in a shoot-out with terrorists.

Four rabbis were also murdered during the atrocity in Har Nof, Jerusalem.

Alexander said he was proud to name his son after Zaif, whom he called “a hero for humanity.”

“We wanted to have [Zidan’s] name called among the Jewish people for all time,” he said.
