JFS raises More Than £1million in fundraising campaign

3551 donors pledge support to Kenton-based secondary school to combat rapidly rising costs and funding deficit

JFS Campaign 2023

Europe’s largest Jewish secondary school raised close to £1 million in its 36-hour ‘More Than’ fundraising campaign.

JFS in Kenton needs the funds to tackle rapidly rising costs and a large deficit in its funding.

The school, established nearly 300 years ago in 1732 teaches more than 2,000 students across the religious spectrum.

Headteacher Dr. David Moody said: “I’m blown away by the generosity of the JFS community. I can’t tell you how much we appreciate every single donation and the dedication of our parent body. We’re delighted to have hit our target, it’s an incredible achievement.”

The money raised will help to support areas across pastoral care, wellbeing provision, enhanced special educational needs facilities, Jewish studies activities and events, sports amenities, after school clubs, school trips and the fully staffed team of expert lead practitioners.

Moody continued: “JFS provides so much more than an ordinary state school could ever do, which is why it is called the ‘More Than’ campaign.”
