The Jewish Leadership Council (JLC) has launched an online cost-of-living crisis resource.

The ‘Cost of Living Support Hub’ provides links to advice and support available from local authorities, Jewish communal organisations and wider voluntary sector services.

Charitable organisations contributing to the platform include Jami, Paperweight, Jewish Care, Jewish Women’s Aid and Work Avenue.

Michelle Mitchell, head of strategic collaboration at the JLC, said: “While the cost-of-living crisis is undoubtedly putting the squeeze on charities, there are many organisations, both inside and outside of the Jewish community, who have been able to respond reflexively to expand or adapt their services.”

Michelle Minsky, head of the United Synagogue’s chesed department, said: “I know from the work of US chesed how important it is to be able to signpost our members and the wider community looking for help and services, and the resources the JLC have compiled will hopefully be extremely useful for families and individuals who are struggling at the moment.”
