JLiving chief executive to step down after 21 years

Sarah Clark

The long-standing boss of Jewish Community Housing Association, now known as jLiving, is to step down after 21 years’ service.

Chief executive Sara Clarke will step down in the summer after more than two decades, during which time she built the organisation into one of the country’s largest housing associations.

This was due primarily to her facilitation of the 1997 merger between the former JBG Housing Society and the Bnai Brith Housing Society, as well as to her increasing communal partnerships.

“Her contribution to our community cannot be measured,” said jLiving chairman Bradley Reback. “We’re delighted that she will remain in a new part-time consultancy role.”

Before she steps down, Clarke will have the pleasure of opening new flats at Wolfson Court in Golders Green, which are due to be completed next month.
