Limmud announces 2017 co-chairs

Limmud has announced its next co-chairs who will take responsibility for delivering the 2017 event.

Abigail Jacobi, 25, will be one of the annual event’s youngest organisers, while Anna Lawton, 28, daughter of Limmud founder Clive, has participated in more than 30 events, including international conferences.

“Anna and I are excited to be collaborating,” said Jacobi. “Having both grown up attending Limmud events, our shared vision for next year’s conference is strongly influenced by the Limmud values and our passion for the organisation.”

Lawton said “We passionately believe in the volunteer-driven nature of Limmud and are both involved in the Volunteers Team at Limmud Conference 2016. We can’t wait to build on past projects and continue to improve volunteer engagement and empowerment.”

Both new co-chairs have extensive experience in volunteering and charity, and Jacobi has served in a British Jewish outreach movement, and holds an MA in Holocaust studies.

The conference, which takes place at the end of December, sees thousands gather in Birmingham, whilst more than 33,000 participants  take place across six continents year-round.
