Mark Zuckerberg brought in Shabbat on Friday evening by posting pictures on his own social media platform of him handing over a family heirloom Kiddush cup to his daughter.
Posting photos of two-year-old Maxima drinking from the cup, along with shots of homemade challah and lit Shabbat candles, he wrote: “For Shabbat (Sabbath) tonight, we gave Max a kiddush [sic] cup that has been in our family for almost 100 years.
“Her great-great-grandfather Max got it after our family immigrated here and it has been passed down through our family ever since.”
