A round of a-paws for Mitzvah Day’s new campaign!

Ruby!

What better way to illustrate the plight of Syrian refugees than with a cute 7-month old dog? Few, if any, was the resounding answer this week, as Ruby the ‘cava-poo’ (a cross between a Cavalier Spaniel and a Poodle) helped Mitzvah Day build support for refugees.

Ahead of the community’s annual day of volunteering and social action on Sunday 22 November, the charity this week unveiled its latest – and most energetic – mascot, with rumors of a forthcoming feline companion.

Ruby will accompany Mitzvah Day’s interfaith supremo Daniela Pears around various projects, including fundraising outside Sainsbury’s in Finchley, as collections for refugees and asylum seekers take place in various locations.
