Muslim leader puts foot in mouth by claiming: #MossadStoleMyShoe
A senior figure in the Muslim Public Affairs Committee (MPACUK) appeared to blame Mossad for stealing his shoe, sparking a series of mocking responses on social media.
Asghar Bukhari posted on Facebook that someone had come into his house whilst he was asleep and ‘the only thing they took was a single shoe’. The post was accompanied by a picture of someone missing an item of footwear.
The post is entitled ‘ARE ZIONISTS TRYING TO INTIMIDATE ME’.
Bukhari wrote that he ‘couldn’t prove anything’ – and that ‘it’s not the first time.. I have had another Muslim leader call me a year or so ago, in tears – she told me they had been coming into her house and re-arranging things – just to let her know they ad been there.’
He concluded by saying one good thing that comes out of all this ‘oppression’… was being able to ‘learn how they operate’.
By stealing shoes, apparently.
Signing off the post ‘share this widely’ was probably not the smartest move.
It was circulated around the internet quickly, with the hashtag #MossadStoleMyShoe trending.

Before you judge Ashgar Bukhari, make sure you walk a mile in his remaining shoe (before it gets taken by Mossad) #MossadStoleMyShoe — Jordan Jacobs (@JJacobs94) June 13, 2015
And this..
Dear @AsgharBukhari, we might have gone a bit overboard with the shoe-snatching last night. Which one is yours? pic.twitter.com/JoleMSpSMl — Zionist Federation (@ZionistFed) June 13, 2015
Covering all bases, just incase it actually *is* true…..
Dear #Mossad I’ve just bought these so don’t steal them! #MossadStoleMyShoe pic.twitter.com/2HFVOkZu92 — Tanned Nil נילי (@Nilstar1) June 13, 2015
And of course – a few actually took it seriously.
One Facebook user suggested setting a mousetrap to catch the evil Zionist shoe stealers…
“That’s ok brother, set a mousetrap in your shoe to catch them next time” #MossadStoleMyShoe pic.twitter.com/seVK3niWqF — Maajid Nawaz (@MaajidNawaz) June 13, 2015
Maybe it was a deliberate ploy to throw everyone off?
I think @AsgharBukhari‘s post proves he’s a Mossad agent planted to expose anti-Zionists as totally nuts #MossadStoleMyShoe #ThePlotThickens

Asghar Bukhari tried defending himself, before according to the Independent, MPAC UK confirmed that Bukhari remains one of their spokespeople.
