Nominate now! Jewish News Community Hero Award

If you know someone extraordinary who has performed an act of kindness, make sure they are recognised by nominated them

Last year's posthumous winner's parents John and Judith Morgan receive the award on behalf of their daughter Rachel

Do you know a hero in our midst? Someone who has performed an extraordinary act of kindness over the past 12 months or worked tirelessly over many years to help those in need?

There is still time to nominate someone deserving for Jewish News’ annual Community Hero, in partnership with Mitzvah Day.  Our finalists will be revealed next month before the winner is announced at the end of Mitzvah Day on 27 November – when thousands of people give their time to support good causes across the country.

The winner will follow in the footsteps of last year’s inspiring recipient, Rachel Morgan.

She posthumously won the prize for raising thousands of pounds for charity through physical feats, including 13 skydives – despite suffering from hypermobility syndrome, which severely affects the body’s joints and pain pathways to the brain.

If you know such a person, email us 200 words outlining their work, to editorial@thejngroup.com by 7 November.
