A Charedi boys’ school in Stamford Hill faces closure after Ofsted assessed its pupils are ‘at risk’ owing to poor safeguards and sanitary conditions.

Yesodey Hatorah Boys School, which has 671 pupils aged five to 15, was told by inspectors that procedures must “urgently” be set up to ensure staff “routinely undergo necessary vetting checks”.

The fee-paying school was also criticised for a “damaging” lack of hot water facilities and “unacceptable arrangements to share both toilet and washroom facilities with male members
of staff.”
