A Synagogue in Essex has held its first ever triple barmitzvah.

The three boys – Ellis, Daniel and Ashley Zelman, are part of a quad, which includes their sister Louise – who celebrated her bat mitzvah one year earlier.

The triple celebration of the JCOSS students took place at Chabad Lubavitch Centre N.E London & Essex – and was made even more special by the inclusion of their Grandfather’s barmitzvah celebration. He was deprived of the opportunity to mark the occasion whilst being evacuated in the war.

Proud mum Michelle said, “The service in the synagogue was absolutely wonderful. Each of the boys read their portions very well. I was very proud. It was a very nice service and even the people who usually come on the Saturday morning service celebrated with us. What a wonderful day it was”.
