AJEX honours British Jewish Servicemen & women at the annual commemoration service at the NMA in Staffordshire

Over 800 people paid their respects to British Jewish servicemen and women at a virtual ceremony on Sunday.

Held by AJEX, the charity for Jewish ex-service personnel, participants took laid wreaths and recited prayers, with viewers being welcomed onto a virtual tour of the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.

A new AJEX National Standard was unveiled at the event, which took place at the closing of National Armed Forces Week – the first new standard in over 40 years.

“By doing this we demonstrate once more our commitment as a veteran’s organisation but also ensuring that AJEX has a presence in Remembrance events for many years to come,” said Mike Bluestone, AJEX national chair.
