Parents advised on coping with children’s Ukraine crisis fears
Media personality Dr Anna Colton addresses over 150 people at PaJes event
With the war in Ukraine continuing to dominate the news, the Partnership for Jewish Schools held a special session to advise parents how to address the fears of both children and their mums and dads.
Clinical Psychologist and media personality Dr Anna Colton was the guest speaker at the event, attended by over 150 people.
Colton focused on suggesting we limit how much time we spend watching the news and ‘doom scrolling’ social media.
Following the talk, PaJes executive director Rabbi David Meyer said: “It is important to recognise that on some level we are all victims of the war. Dr Anna Colton’s guidance has been enormously helpful in understanding how to address our own fears and how to support our children during these challenging times.”
