Petition to rid Amazon of anti-Semitic texts

An online petition has been launched calling on e-commerce giant Amazon to withdraw several “anti-Semitic” books from sale.

Daniel Haines, a Welshman who now lives in Wellington, was shocked to learn that books such as “Synagogue of Satan” and others perpetuating anti-Semitic myths about Jews and the Holocaust could be so easily purchased.

“I contact Amazon, expecting them to remove some of the comments and reconsider selling these books, but to my surprise they have so far refused to do either,” said Haines.”I learned that many others have taken issue with Amazon over the same books, so I decided to set up a petition to try to pressure them into reconsidering their position. Every online signature is an email to them expressing concern.”

Some of the books on sale blame Jews for the slave trade and accuse Jews of “running” the American and international banking industry by monopolising government credit and charging interest on the funds.

“To distract and control us, they have used a vast occult network (Freemasonry) to infiltrate most organizations, especially government, intelligence agencies, education and the mass media,” says the introduction to one.

Others stray into the realms of Holocaust denial, such as ‘The Six Million: Fact or Fiction’ by Peter Winter (pictured), ‘Did Six Million Really Die?’ by Richard Harwood and ‘The Hoax of the Twentyfirst Century’ by A. R. Butz.

Denying the Holocaust is illegal in many of the countries in which the books are sold, including Liechtenstein where, for tax reasons, the internet retail giant is headquartered.
