Philanthropist made UK chair for charity helping wounded IDF soldiers
Andrew Wolfson takes over from Dennis Levine at Beit Halochem UK which looks after tens of thousands of wounded veterans
A prominent philanthropist has been appointed the new chairman of the UK branch of an Israeli charity helping wounded soldiers.
Andrew Wolfson was appointed to replace Dennis Levine at Beit Halochem UK this week, and paid tribute to both his predecessor and trustee Neville Kahn, who has left after being made chairman of Norwood.
Beit Halochem looks after tens of thousands of wounded veterans and victims of terror and Wolfson said he was excited to head up the UK branch.
“I am delighted to have been asked to take on the role,” he said. “I look forward to continuing this important work with my fellow trustees and Spencer Gelding, the charity’s executive director. I would like to thank Dennis and Neville for the work they have done for the charity.”
