Every June, Gay Pride is celebrated by the LGBT+ community and its supporters in many countries and cities around the world. In some places, Pride has become an exuberant celebration of the freedom to be oneself, in others, it is still a strident protest for equality, recognition and human rights.

TEL AVIV PRIDE

On June 13th, Tel Aviv celebrated Gay Pride, with the annual Tel Aviv Pride Parade that begins at the city’s Meir Park, and travels along Bugrashov Street, Ben Yehuda Street, Ben Gurion Boulevard and culminates in a beach party on the seafront.

BROOKLYN PRIDE

Meanwhile every June in New York, the city’s five boroughs come alive with parades, festivals and parties to celebrate Gay Pride. New York State is approaching the three-year anniversary of same-sex marriage equality, giving locals even more reason to celebrate.

From 7th – 14th June Brooklyn held its Gay Pride celebrations, with nearly a full week of activities including a 5K Pride Run, street festival, parade and live entertainment.
