Pregnant heiress to £125 million Reiss empire dies aged 34
Tributes have been paid to the young heiress to the Reiss fashion chain, who has died suddenly while pregnant.
Debra Reiss, 34, died suddenly along with her unborn baby in the US, where she had been working.
The mother-of-one was the daughter of David Reiss, 72, who oversaw the family firm’s £125 million transition from modest London boutique to booming international empire.
Ms Reiss, who was said to be suffering from a long-term illness and recently referred to a “good meeting with my lung doctor” on Facebook, leaves behind her partner, Zane, and baby daughter Scarlett.
She had worked for Reiss as a brand director.
A spokesman for the company said: “This is a personal matter for David Reiss and his family.
“Safe to say that the thoughts of everyone at Reiss are with David and his family at this sad time.”
