Pupils asked to pitch school project ideas for chance to win share of £25,000
Teams of four students encouraged to submit ideas to implement in their schools for share of cash prize
Pupils have been invited to submit project ideas to implement in their schools to pitch in a contest inspired by BBC Two series Dragons’ Den held at the Jewish School Awards 2020.
Teams of up to four students from primary and secondary schools can submit their best ideas to PaJeS, a division of the Jewish Leadership Council.
PaJeS will be rewarding the best ideas with a share of £25,000, with support from the grant-making institution the Genesis Philanthropy Group.
A panel of judges is to select three finalists from both primary and secondary schools to pitch their plans at the Jewish Schools Awards in February 2020.
Rabbi David Meyer, executive director of PaJeS, said: “This is an exciting opportunity to make a special project at your school a reality and you can be the ones to make this happen. Come up with a good idea, plan it well, pitch it to our panel and get the results you want.”
The Jewish School Awards, organised by PaJeS in association with Jewish News, will be held for the fifth year running in a bid to recognise exceptional educators in the community.
Three new categories for the Awards were unveiled last week rewarding innovate teaching, collaboration between Jewish and secular studies and school-based volunteering.
