Reform leader’s joy at interfaith role in consecration of Reverend
Reform Judaism’s leader has spoken of her joy at being part of the consecration of Reverend Dr Toby Howarth as Bishop of Bradford at York Minster.
After his doctorate in Islamic preaching, Howarth was an interfaith adviser in Birmingham before becoming the Archbishop of Canterbury’s secretary for inter-religious affairs and national adviser for inter-religious affairs for the Church of England.
“It was a privilege to be part of such a joyous occasion which celebrated the diversity of our nation,” said Senior Reform Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner.
