Isaac Feiner aims to give health clients flexibility

At a time when the NHS is straining to cope with swollen patient waiting lists and government cutbacks, with an increasing ageing population burdening the system, having reasonably priced private healthcare is becoming more important.

This means that if you or family members want to have some choice over your consultant or hospital and don’t wish to spend months waiting for an operation, getting health insurance can give you more security and flexibility.

Enter Isaac Feiner, the entrepreneurial founder and executive director of Lifepoint Healthcare Ltd, a specialist health and protection insurance intermediary aimed at the UK’s Jewish community.

Founded last December and based in north London, it is an ethical company priding itself on a range of high quality services developed to support clients.

Feiner and his team can offer you personalised guidance on health and protection insurance products for you, your family, and your business. “We are flexible and design our procedures around the client and not the other way round,” explains Feiner.

As well as competitive private medical insurance, specially tailored for both individuals and businesses, his new company also deals with a range of other insurance options: life insurance, mortgage and income protection, group business travel, cash plans and employee benefits. Feiner studied law and worked in the personal protective equipment industry and the podiatry healthcare sector before deciding to go into health and protection insurance.

His change of profession coincided with his mother being diagnosed with and passing away from liver cancer. “Thankfully, she was covered by adequate health insurance and received excellent care,” recalls Feiner. “It made me realise just how important having suitable private healthcare was, and helped ease a deeply trying time.”

At the time, Feiner was the associate director of an award-winning insurance brokerage. Seeing what a difference having comprehensive health insurance cover had been for his mother’s specialist care, his business background led him to founding Lifepoint Healthcare Ltd, to provide impartial insurance advice to other people who were struggling to navigate the complex insurance market. Having worked in senior and executive positions, Feiner had the necessary business know-how and an enviable portfolio of clients and contacts. “Lifepoint Healthcare is a refined fusion of the very best an insurance brokerage can offer – a personalised, whole-of-market approach, alongside corporate pricing. The company is independent, is a whole of market broker and not tied to any one insurer,” explains Feiner.

“Serving the community is at the heart of Lifepoint Healthcare Ltd’s ethos. We want to make a difference, even if this includes, as in the past, taking calls from clients at midnight,” he adds.

“We are highly trained experts and pride ourselves on our ability to effectively guide our clients through the insurance labyrinth from start to finish. We help our clients to choose which cover is most suitable for their needs and continue to provide aftercare and regular reviews once the policy begins to ensure people are happy with their cover.”

What are Feiner’s future plans for expansion? “We will continue to service our large book of loyal clientele, both individual and corporate and increase growth in the London Jewish community, as well as in Manchester, Gateshead and Leeds, as well as continuing our concurrent expansion into the rest of the UK individual and corporate market.

“Despite the high number of clients we have to deal with, each one is given an individual service. My existing clients have all been notified of the exciting new developments and have received a personal call from me in keeping with my company’s policy of committed customer care. We offer a personal approach in these days of growing impersonality and aim to offer a friendly listening approach to our clients’ needs. We will recruit more staff to meet our administration needs as we grow.”

Feiner says Lifepoint Healthcare’s ethos, philosophy and founding principles are uncoloured by financial motives and it aims to be impartial at all times. Round the clock client support and client service are the cornerstones of the company and what it does. It also has a strong online presence with a recently launched website. Lifepoint Healthcare Ltd is an appointed representative of Premier Choice Healthcare Ltd which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
