The Jewish construction and property industry is set to host its second JTrade Expo on 8 July this year, to “bring together Jewish entrepreneurs from across London”.

Last year’s inaugural event was a sell-out and organiser Ari Feferkorn said the concept was simply to put Jewish businesspeople in touch with each other.

“We saw talented entrepreneurs were remaining largely unaware of each other, each focusing on their own little field and recommending dubious workers, when part of the required job didn’t fall under their particular speciality,” he said.

“We decided to make all these people known to each other, while simultaneously allowing them to showcase their business to the general public, thus boosting business and expanding client pools. That’s how JTrade was born.”

The first event took place on 14 May last year in the Business Design Centre, famous for its high-profile hosting of events such as the Gadget Show Live, and Feferkorn said the Expo “easily outstripped its projected turnout,” with almost 200 exhibitors and 3,500 visitors.

“Since then JTrade executives have been flooded with requests for another event, which led to the planning of a 2019 expo with improved features, to be hosted at the ExCel London, so we can accommodate more people,” said Feferkorn.

He said those visiting to make or cement business relationships will be “Jews of all affiliations, dress codes, locations and business backgrounds,” with the Expo “showcasing high profile companies, such as prestigious banks and some of the biggest property auctioneers in the UK”.
