Second victim dies from Palestinian terrorist attack in Jerusalem
A 22-year old woman visiting from South America succumbed to injuries on Sunday after a Palestinian man from East Jerusalem drove his car into a Jerusalem Light Railway station before being shot by police.
The attack was one of several incidents in a period of worsening Arab-Jewish relations. Last week, Jewish extremists burned a West Bank mosque while three Jewish brothers beat up a Palestinian worker.
Meanwhile Arab protesters injured three policemen as rioting erupted at Temple Mount, before thousands attended the funeral of a 14-year old Palestinian boy shot and killed by soldiers from the Israel Defence Force (IDF).
U.S. State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said: “We urge all parties to help restore calm and avoid escalating tensions in the wake of the tragic recent incidents in Jerusalem and the West Bank.”
