Sela’s Israel sole men’s player at French Open

Dudi Sela will be Israel’s only man in the singles competition at Roland Garros

Dudi Sela will be Israel’s only male representative in the men’s draw at Roland Garros.

Amir Weintraub saw his qualifying campaign end in the first round after he was beaten 7-6, 6-2 by Illya Marchenko (128).

In the women’s qualifying campaign, Shahar Peer reached the second round of qualifiers on Wednesday after beating Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo. Julia Glushko though also suffered a disappointing loss, knocked out in the first round by Anastasia Rodionova 0-6, 6-4, 7-5.

The tournament at Roland Garros starts on Sunday.
