The shadow secretary of state for health and social care, Wes Streeting MP, has addressed Jewish Care’s largest gathering of 150 patrons for a special briefing on the charity’s upcoming plans for the next 12 months.

Topics included the impact of the cost-of-living crisis on Jewish Care, the impact of the bed crisis within the NHS, upcoming campaigns, and plans for a brand new development in Redbridge on the existing Sinclair House site.

Commenting on the plans, chief executive, Daniel Carmel-Brown said: “I am hopeful that we will be granted planning permission in the coming weeks. After decades of the community dreaming about this moment, we are now the closest we’ve ever been to this becoming a reality for the north east London and Essex community.”

Streeting MP said: “Jewish Care is a great example of how high-quality social care can be delivered in the 21st century.”
