Spitting Image’s highly-anticipated return lampoons Mark Zuckerberg, Trump

Hit comedy show which attracted millions of viewers in the 1980s is being revamped, with new characters including the American president , Prince Harry and Vladimir Putin

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg will find himself rubbing shoulders with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Donald Trump and even Vladimir Putin, thanks to the highly-anticipated comeback of satirical puppet show, Spitting Image.

During its heyday, the show – which originally launched in 1984 – around 15 million people avidly tuned in every week to see the hysterical lampooning of Margaret Thatcher, John Major, Ronald Reagan and The Queen.

Now 23 years later, London-based entertainment firm Avalon, alongside original creator Roger Law and The Simpsons writer Jeff Westbrook, are bringing a contemporary version of the hit show to our television screens.

Impressionist Luke Kempner, currently on tour with his new show, House of Faces, revealed with excitement that he will be involved in the new series.

Taking to social media, the Jewish comedian wrote: “This is my latest project I’ve been working on!! So exciting and a true honour!! Watch this space!”
