Swastikas daubed in Stamford Hill playground

The symbol used by the Nazis was found in a playground and reported by Shomrim

At least three swastikas have been daubed in a playground in Stamford Hill.

Neighbourhood watch group Shomrim posted a message on Twitter showing the “symbols found across kids playground”.

Board of Deputies Vice President Marie van der Zyl said: “The daubing of Nazi symbols in a place where Jewish children study and play is an act of racism intended to spread fear and alarm. In a week when the Board of Deputies has given evidence at the Home Affairs Select Committee’s inquiry into the rise of antisemitism, this is an example of one of the many threats Jewish community faces. We hope the perpetrators will be apprehended and made to feel the full force of the law.”

After they appeared on Tuesday afternoon, the police said they were unable to update Jewish News on any action they are taking until next week.
